The 13th Annual American Indian Festival surprised me with a news crew (MPL TV) from Turkey. They told me that they came over here for the Indian Festival, which just goes to show you how far some of these events reach people.

Another surprise was one of the dancers came from South Dakota to be part of the Indian Festival. This was the same young man that was dancing with his father about 4-5 years ago. The two of them gave me one of the greatest photos I have ever taken.

I wished I had their photo in hand because I found out that his father passed away since then. I know he would have loved and treasured that photo of the two of them.

The most impressing thing with this young man is that he is carrying on the tradition of his heritage and that says alot about his character.

As always, the festival produced some great photos, however, the photos from the 13th Annual American Indian Festival are not for sale.

I hope everyone enjoys the photo slideshow of the 13th Annual American Indian Festival held at the Chesapeake City Park in Chesapeake, Virginia.
